Virtual Launch Event for Financial Literacy Month: Managing Your Money in a Changing World

It is our pleasure to invite you to the virtual launch event for Financial Literacy Month 2022 on Tuesday, November 1, from 1 pm to 2 pm ET

We have an exciting program planned for you, including a special guest speaker, Tiff Macklem, Governor of the Bank of Canada.

This year’s theme, Make Change that Counts: Managing Your Money in a Changing World, aligns with the National Financial Literacy Strategy and reflects our complex and changing financial landscape. Managing debt is one of the key consumer building blocks in the National Strategy and FCAC has chosen managing debt as the area of focus for this year’s campaign. We hope you will agree that it is a timely and important area of emphasis given the increased cost-of-living and rising interest rates.

Equally important, Financial Literacy Month is an opportunity to collectively advance the National Financial Literacy Strategy’s vision of a more accessible, inclusive and effective financial ecosystem for Canadians. Over the course of the month, we will be encouraging stakeholders to take steps to monitor and evaluate the progress of the National Strategy.

To participate in the virtual event, please complete the online registration form. This will ensure that you receive all the event information.

The success of Financial Literacy Month is due to the strong support and engagement of stakeholders and partners like you. By hosting and participating in events, and sharing resources through your networks, you play a vital role in helping Canadians strengthen their financial literacy and build financial resilience.

Please visit the Financial Literacy Month page to learn more about this year’s campaign and to access the latest promotional material and resources.
