  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all general ledger accounts;
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, providing insights and recommendations to clients;
  • Support the implementation and optimization of accounting software solutions;
  • Analyze financial data and trends to assist in decision-making and provide clients with actionable insights;
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax requirements, and financial regulations;
  • Collaborate with the Tidal CFO team to ensure clients' financial and operational needs are met;
  • Conduct variance analysis, comparing actual results to forecasted/budgeted numbers and presenting findings to clients.

Skills & Qualifications

  • CPA designation (or working towards one): Essential for providing top-tier financial services to our clients;
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience: Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliation, preferably in a multi-client environment or with a firm providing outsourced services;
  • Strong financial analysis skills: Ability to interpret financial data and provide insights to support business decision-making;
  • Proficiency in accounting software: Experience with cloud-based accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks Online, or other relevant software. Knowledge of Dext and Plooto is a plus;
  • Excellent communication skills: Capable of explaining complex financial concepts clearly and concisely to clients and team members;
  • Independent self-starter: Proven ability to manage your own workload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines without constant oversight;
  • Detail-oriented and organized: You have a strong attention to detail and are able to maintain high accuracy in financial reporting and analysis;
  • Problem-solving mindset: Ability to troubleshoot financial discrepancies and resolve issues proactively;
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic and changing environment, with the ability to pivot between different tasks or client needs;
  • Client-focused approach: Dedicated to building strong relationships, understanding client needs, and delivering solutions that add value;
  • Team player: Works well in a collaborative, supportive environment while being able to drive individual results.

What we offer:

  • Competitive Salary: Base salary commensurate with experience, plus performance-based incentives tied to client satisfaction, project completion, and business development;
  • No Time Tracking: We trust our team to deliver results without the need to track billable hours. This allows you to focus on high-quality work and client outcomes rather than hourly billing;
  • Flexible Work Schedule: We understand the importance of work-life balance. You'll have the flexibility to manage your own time and work remotely in a setup that best suits your needs;
  • Opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing firm: Be part of a forward-thinking company that's expanding and evolving in the fractional CFO space;
